Wild Bird's Gala was Wildly Successful!
Just over 1 week ago we were all together at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club to support kids facing food insecurity in Whatcom County and what a fantastic evening it was! I wanted you to be some of the first to hear the final total. One year ago we held our first banquet and raised 23k after expenses, and our goal this year was to double that... WHICH WE DID!! Last Saturday night, together we raised $56,685!! Amazing. Thank you so much!
In case you're wondering, our 2025 budget to provide 30,000 bags of food with 180,000 meals and snacks to 900 kiddos in Bellingham and all over Whatcom County is $206,700. The rest of the monies will come from donations from individuals, businesses, grants and our other events. Btw, our next event is Sips of the Summer, which was the 3rd best nonprofit event in Cascades Best in 2024. This year, on Saturday, June 28th at Barnstar in Ferndale local wineries and breweries will come together to provide you tastings of their best summer sips while we will enjoy one of the best bands around... County Rose. VIP tickets gets you in one hour early, some extra tasting tickets, and a commemorative glass.
