Wild Bird’s FIRST EVER Thanksgiving Week Food Bag Delivery!

In addition to our regularly scheduled delivery this week, we can provide food to help bridge the hunger gap during the long Thanksgiving school break! Kids are in school that week from Monday to Wednesday, November 24-26. That means their normal two-day weekend becomes four days. Without you, Thanksgiving break would feel much longer for children facing food scarcity. · Schools have been notified · Additional food has been purchased · Volunteers are ready to stuff bags with as many items as possible · Packing on Monday · Delivery on Tuesday · Handed out on Wednesday   “Because hunger doesn’t take holiday weekends off!” Last week, we were at 40 schools and pre-schools. This week, we added one more! The need is growing and without your help, whether it be financial support, volunteering, or sharing what Wild Bird does in our community, all comes together at a time when we are seeing a 32% increase in need over the past month. So when you are giving thanks next Thursday, know that there are children you haven’t met who are also thankful for each way you made their holiday a little happier.
